IGNOU PGDCA Eligibility Criteria 2025
Students who would like to enroll themselves at Indira Gandhi National Open University for the PGDCA course in the upcoming July 2025-26 academic cycle will be required to have a degree as per the eligibility criteria for this program. Eligibility Criteria for IGNOU PGDCA Admission are as follows:
- Candidates should have an undergraduate degree with a minimum of 50% score from a UGC approved university to pursue the PGDCA program.
- To be eligible for the IGNOU PGDCA course students must have studied the Mathematics subject either in their class 12th or in their graduation.
- To be eligible to apply for the Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Application, students who did not study Mathematics in their 10+2 or after graduation must participate in IGNOUs Graduate level Mathematics course as a bridge course.
IGNOU PGDCA Course Details 2025
The program of Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Application is offered in the duration of 1 year which can extend up to the maximum of 4 years. Students who desire to pursue the PGDCA program at IGNOU are informed that the IGNOU PGDCA course fee is INR 21,600 which can be paid by them as INR 10,800 per semester. PGDCA IGNOU syllabus has been designed very carefully and includes many technical subjects like Systems Analysis and Design, Data and File Structures, Systems Analysis and Design, etc.
Further, Applicants do not need to give any entrance exam for the PGDCA program, admission will be taken based on applicants previous academic marks. Hence, candidates will need to have studied Mathematics in their graduation or intermediate.
The program is structured into two semesters of each year (January-June and July-December). Therefore, two exams will be conducted in each year: one in June for the January to June semesters and another in December for the July to December semester courses. Students are free to take any of the examinations conducted by the university.

IGNOU PGDCA Admission Course Fee
IGNOU PGDCA programme fee is INR 21,600/- along with University Development Fee which is INR 200 and Registration Fee INR 300. Students can pay via credit card, debit card or via any online UPI. IGNOU PGDCA Assignment 2025
IGNOU Assignment carries 30% of the total grade of a student enrolled in the PGDCA program at the university. Students get two options for submitting their IGNOU PGDCA Assignments; online and offline. They can either upload them in the IGNOU Google Forms available on the official web portal of IGNOU or they can submit it offline at any of the IGNOU PGDCA Study Centre.
