IGNOU DElEd Examination Pattern
Students must complete both theory and practical work to develop their skills and understand the educational concepts. The grading system is divided into two sections: internal assessment and term-end examination. The breakout exam marks are: the assignment and the practical exam for this course. Assignments account for 30% of the marks, and the term-end examination (written exam) accounts for 70%. After combining these two sections, students will get an evaluation. Students need at least a 35% passing mark in both practical and theory to clear the passing eligibility criteria. Students can practice the IGNOU Previous Question paper for better preparation and also check the weaker sections for further study. The IGNOU previous year papers are available on the website.
IGNOU conducts exams two times a year, in June and December. IGNOU DEIED exam form last date for June TEEs 2026 has been extended to 26 April 2026 (without late fees). It is mandatory for all students to complete the form for the June 2026 TEEs Exam. Without filling out the exam form, students will not be allowed to sit in the examination hall. Students can apply before the last date.
IGNOU DElEd Assignment
Candidates must submit the assignment of IGNOU DElEd before the Term End Examination, because without submission of the assignment, students will not be able to download the Hall Ticket. Students who appear in June TEE must submit their IGNOU DEIEd assignment before the end date, which is 30 April 2026. The assignment accounts for 30% of the final exam. If students do not submit the assignment, University do not issue the hall ticket. Handwritten assignments are uploaded according to the IGNOU guidelines.

Study Material is provided to students who enroll in any course at IGNOU. Students can learn from both Online and offline. Students can learn online from the Egyankosh website. Download the course-wise PDF from the website. In offline mode, students have access to the Course-related books through your study center, and IGNOU has sent the study material to students registered at their addresses via speed post.
NOTE: IGNOU does not offer the D.El.Ed program from 2019. This program was discontinued in 2019 due to the strict UGC guidelines. Those who are seeking the D.El.Ed program must go through the other courses IGNOU is offering.
