IGNOU PGDCA Admission 2026-27: All candidates interested in pursuing careers in computer science and IT services are required to register. IGNOU PGDCA Admission will open shortly for the July session 2026. The one-year IGNOU Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Applications program is available in ODL mode. Students must have a bachelor’s degree in mathematics at the 10+2 or graduation level in order to be eligible for the PGDCA program at IGNOU. Students will gain knowledge of networking, programming, data management, and software design. The 32-credit IGNOU PGDCA course consists of 4 practicals and 6 theories. In addition to the INR 300 registration fee, students must pay the IGNOU PGDCA course fee of INR 10800 per semester. English is the primary medium of instruction. The IGNOU PGDCA admission form must be turned in by students.

IGNOU PGDCA Admission 2026-27

IGNOU Admission for PGDCA July Session 2026 will start from 04 May 2026. Aspiring candidates can apply to the IGNOU PGDCA program via the official website, which is – ignou.ac.in. An application fee of INR 300 will need to be paid by applicants during the application process of IGNOU.

Eligibility Criteria for IGNOU PGDCA Admission are as follows:

• Candidates should have an undergraduate degree with a minimum of 50% score from a UGC approved university to pursue the PGDCA program.
• To be eligible for the IGNOU PGDCA course, students must have studied the Mathematics subject either in their class 12th or in their graduation for IGNOU PGDCA Admission.
• To be eligible to apply for the Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Application, students who did not study Mathematics in their 10+2 or after graduation must participate in IGNOU’s Graduate-level Mathematics course as a bridge course.

IGNOU PGDCA Course Details 2026

The program of IGNOU Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Application is offered in a duration of 1 year, which can extend up to a maximum of 4 years. Students who desire to pursue the PGDCA program at IGNOU are informed that the IGNOU PGDCA course fee is INR 21,600, which can be paid by them as INR 10,800 per semester. PGDCA IGNOU syllabus has been designed very carefully and includes many technical subjects like Systems Analysis and Design, Data and File Structures, Systems Analysis and Design, etc.

Further, Applicants do not need to give any entrance exam for the PGDCA program; admission will be taken based on applicants’ previous academic marks. Hence, candidates will need to have studied Mathematics in their graduation or intermediate for IGNOU PGDCA Admission. 

The program is structured into 2 semesters each year (January-June and July-December). Therefore, 2 exams will be conducted each year: one in June for the January to June semesters and another in December for the July to December semester courses. Students are free to take any of the examinations conducted by the university.

IGNOU PGDCA Course Fees for the complete Program are INR 21,600/-, including the university Development fee of INR 200/, and excluding the Registration fee of INR 300/, paid during admission registration only once. Students can pay via credit card, debit card, or via any online UPI. Candidates can also pay the course admission fee offline by visiting the IGNOU Regional Centre, which is allotted to them.

IGNOU PGDCA Assignment 2026

IGNOU Assignment carries 30% of the total grade of a student enrolled in the PGDCA program at the university. Students get two options for submitting their IGNOU PGDCA Assignments: online and offline. They can either upload them to the IGNOU Google Forms available on the official web portal of IGNOU, or they can submit them offline at any of the IGNOU PGDCA Study Centers. IGNOU PGDCA Assignments Question Paper released by the university online can be easily downloaded by concerned students. Assignments should be submitted at the students’ allotted regional center before the last date of submission for the June 2026 Term End Examination, which is 30 April 2026.

IGNOU has released the Grade Card for the December 2025 TEE result. IGNOU courses enrolled students are advised to check their grade card on the IGNOU’s Grade Card – IGNOU Grade Card.
