IGNOU PGDCFT Admission 2026

Post-graduate diploma in Counselling and Family Therapy is a 1-year diploma course under the School of Continuing Education under IGNOU. It can also be extended up to 3 years.  This Course is aimed at increasing awareness in the field of counselling and family therapy. IGNOU offers this program in Open Distance Learning mode. This course promotes positive family processes and helps professionals address social stigmas. It also helps professionals deal with mental health problems and disorders. This course is offered at various regional and study centres such as Dehradun, Bangalore, Bhopal, Nagpur, Jammu etc. You study subjects like Human Development and Family relationships, Counselling and Family Therapy etc. You do research and practice your research on people. 

IGNOU PGDCFT Admission Process 

To take admission in the IGNOU Postgraduate Diploma in Family Therapy, follow the steps below:

STEP 1: Visit the official IGNOU website i.e. ignou.ac.in and go to the admission section. 

STEP 2: Click on Apply for ODL Programmes and it will open a new page. On that page, click on New registration and make an account with your active email id and contact number. 

STEP 3: An OTP will be sent to you through mail or SMS. Provide the OTP and create a username and password. 

STEP 4: Login again at the Samarth portal with the created username and password. An application form will appear on the screen.

STEP 6: Enter the required information such as personal, academic and family details for the application form. 

STEP 7: Submit the required documents and make sure they are clear and not blurred. Then click preview and check if the information is correct. 

STEP 8: Click on Make payment and pay through debit/credit card or Net banking. 

STEP 9: Download the Confirmation slip and save it for future reference.
