IGNOU Guwahati Regional Centre 2026-27: IGNOU Guwahati Regional Centre has accepted applications for the July admission session 2026-27. All students wishing to apply for any of the programmes offered, such as BCA, BA, MCA, MA, BBA, MBA, etc., must submit the registration form deadline is 31 July 2026. Guwahati Regional Centre offers courses at different levels, including UG, PG, Diploma, Certificate, PG, and Advanced Diploma, PG, and Advanced Certificate, and Non-Credit programmes as well. They offer more than 20+ courses for students to choose from.

IGNOU RC Guwahati Latest Update 

  • IGNOU Guwahati Regional Centre admission for the July session 2026 is ongoing from 25 May 2026 for all courses, UG/PG/Diploma. Students are requested to fill out the application form before the last date.  
  • The tentative datesheet has been released by IGNOU. The datesheet is available on the website. Students can download the datesheet from the given link. The exam will start on 01 June 2026. Source

IGNOU Guwahati Regional Centre offers a collection of good courses and quality education to students. The eligibility criteria for all courses are different. It is based on the level, duration, and the course itselfFor getting admission in the UG course in the Guwahati Regional Centre, students’ Class 12th should be cleared, and it should be from a recognised board. In class 12th, students must have secured 45%, though it varies from course to course.

For most Diploma and Certificate courses, it is also the same. For the postgraduate program, a minimum of a bachelor’s degree is required. Students should check for specific requirements before applying. The duration of UG courses is typically between 3 and 6 years. For the Diploma courses, that could be a year or two. For the Certificate courses, this duration could only be a few months.

The age limit to pursue a course at IGNOU varies by course. However, some courses might not have any age limitations and may have no minimum or maximum age bar.

IGNOU Guwahati Regional Centre Assignment Submission

Students are supposed to submit assignments for their course. It needs to be submitted on time before the deadline. Assignments hold 30% weightage in the entire course. Students need to pass them separately from the term-end exam. All questions in the assignment come from the IGNOU Books themselves. IGNOU even offers other study material like notes, recorded videos, previous question papers, etc, to help students. Students are given these assignments a month or two early so that they can prepare them in time. Students can get these assignments online or offline.

To get these assignments online, students need to go to the official IGNOU Assignment Portal and download the assignment for their selected course there. To get them offline or submit them offline, you need to follow the steps below:

Step 1: Visit the Regional Center: For the assignment to be submitted offline, students need to visit the regional center in person.

Step 2: Find Student Service Cell: After you reach the regional office, ask for directions to the Student Service Cell. That’s where you will get them submitted or receive them in print form.

Step 3: Ask the IGNOU employee: At the Student Service Cell, you will find an employee. Ask them about the assignment by giving relevant details. Meaning your student’s admission information

Step 4: Receive your assignments: You will be given your assignments according to your course. Students are advised to check the details to see if they have received the correct course assignment or not. Check for any discrepancies before you leave the Regional office.

Step 5: Submit your assignments: If you are submitting your assignments, you need to tell them about your assignment submission and submit it with a front page that has all your information. Give it to the employee, and they will submit it. Make sure everything is graded correctly.

Step 6: Get an acknowledgement receipt: After submitting your assignments, you will get an acknowledgment receipt for your assignment submission. Keep it safe for future reference.

These courses’ fee structure includes costs like tuition fees, examination fees, etc. At the time of Application submission, the student will have to pay INR 300/- as an application fee. IGNOU Guwahati Regional Centre Offline Application Process

Students can get Admission offline by visiting the Guwahati Centre themselves. There, they will have to go to the Student Service Cell, fill in the Application form, submit their documents, pay the application fee, and get themselves admitted to the course. The full process is listed below:

Step 1: Visit the Guwahati Centre

  • Go to the Guwahati Center between 10 AM and 5 PM from Monday to Saturday.
  • Visit the ‘Student Service Cell’ where you will find an IGNOU employee

Step 2: Fill in your Application Form

  • At the Student Service Cell, you will get an Application form for the session 2026
  • Fill in your details, including personal, academic, and chosen course-related details. Include and fill in all details clearly. 

Step 3: Submit your Documents

  • Submit all your required documents. Make photocopies of all your original documents.
  • These documents will be verified for the admission process.

Step 4: Pay the Application Fee

  • You need to pay the application fee. Only then will it be processed.
  • You can do it online with a debit/credit card, or offline with cash. 

Step 5: Confirmation of Admission

  • Submit your form and get an acknowledgement receipt and the fee payment receipt.
  • Keep it for later, future reference.

All documents will be verified. Candidates should have all Original documents and their photocopies with them. All your documents will be signed and stamped. For online admission, you can just scan and upload too; however, for Offline admission, students need to bring them along with themselves.
