IGNOU CESEIVI Admission 2026-27: In the January session, students can apply for the Certificate in Childhood Special Education Enabling Inclusion – Visual Impairment (CESEIVI). IGNOU CESEIVI registration has opened for 12th pass students. This certificate programme teaches how to support visually impaired learners. To apply, students can go to the admission link on the website of IGNOU @iop.ignouonline.ac.in. Last date to apply for 2026 IGNOU CESEIVI January admission is 31st January 2026.

IGNOU will give CESEIVI study material to students every semester. Students can use recorded classes, assignments, and contact classes. At the end of the semester, students must appear for the IGNOU CESEIVI term-end examination to get their grade card.

About the IGNOU CESEIVI Course

IGNOU CESEIVI Admission: Education is a fundamental right under the Constitution of India. This means that learning should not be restricted to only those who can afford it and are physically capable. IGNOU has introduced the Certificate in Early Childhood Special Education Enabling Inclusion – Visual Impairment. This certificate course is a 1-year programme that enables students to learn how to provide an all-round education to visually impaired and disabled students.

This is a Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI) approved course. It has a special syllabus that introduces students to disability and its effect on a student’s life. IGNOU helps students find suitable careers after completing this course. Graduates can register with the Rehabilitation Council of India under Category B. 

Learners in this course train themselves to identify and even prevent visual impairment. To complete this course, students can take the help of IGNOU CESEIVI contact classes. These are monthly helpful classes and sessions with IGNOU teachers. Similarly, students can also take library sessions. These are available both online and offline. Students have the freedom to attend the IGNOU CESEIVI study center for offline services. Online library portals are also open after admission in the January 2026 session.

Practice question sets for students are available as IGNOU assignments. IGNOU provides the last dates for every session. Students must submit their  December Term-end assignments by the last date. This is necessary to appear in the term-end examination (TEEs).  The last date for the submission of the assignment will be shared. The CESEIVI course is a semester-type course. At the end of every semester, students will get the opportunity to fill out the exam forms. To appear in the final term-end exams, these forms are needed. Only students who appear in the final exams can check their IGNOU CESEIVI results.

IGNOU CESEIVI Admission: Admission process for the IGNOU Certificate in Early Childhood Special Education Enabling Inclusion Intellectual Disability program is given below for the January 2026 session: 

Step 1: Visit the Chandigarh Regional Centre

Step 2: Look for “Student Service Cell”. This is provided in every regional centre.

Step 3: Ask for the admission form.

Step 4: Get the admission form and start filling the admission form.

Step 5: Enter details in the admission form with full accuracy.

Step 6: Submit the copies of the documents needed.

Step 7: Pay the IGNOU application fee.

Step 8: Submit the IGNOU CESEIVI admission form and get the acknowledgment receipt.

Syllabus for CESEIVI

IGNOU CESEIVI has multiple subjects dealing with the education of special needs students. It offers subjects with a focus on training teachers in the types of disability and their effect on early education. Students study subjects like Introduction to disability to know about how learners suffer from disability. It develops an understanding of the type of problem they will have to deal with in their teaching career. 

Students then move on to the basics of childhood development and learning. The Foundation of Early Childhood Development and Education is a theoretical subject that helps students learn the necessary skills in childhood education. It brings to the attention of students all the important subjects and skills that students need to have in order to get an overall personality development.

IGNOU CESEIVI syllabus also contains Early Intervention and Early Childhood Education for Children with Visual Impairment. This subject is a very special subject that guides learners to deal with the education of visually impaired students. There are special contact classes and learning materials for students to understand the learning process of a visually impaired student. This creates empathy and teaching skills in students.

There are two project subjects in this course. Students will prepare projects in the Individualized Education Plan and Group Teaching and Individualized Family Support Plan. This will test the logic and understanding of students in preparing a planned curriculum and task lists. IGNOU grades these projects in the term-end examination of the CESEIVI course.

Study Material For IGNOU CESEIVI Students
