IGNOU Admission January Session 2026-27: IGNOU is one of the prestigious educational institutions of India which offers education through Online and Open Distance Learning mode. IGNOU admission January session 2026-27 will start soon. Students and Working professionals who can not attend regular college but want to pursue higher education are welcome at IGNOU as it provides education through both ODL mode and OL mode. Students who meet eligibility criteria can apply for admission through the official website, by filling a registration/ application form. Application fee is non refundable and compulsory to pay. Eligibility and fee structure differs as per the programme students are applying for. Last date of starting of admission is expected to be the last week of December 2025*, though IGNOU always extends its last date.

IGNOU UG Admission January 2026

IGNOU Admissions January session are going to start soon for UG Programmes. Undergraduate courses have a 3 years duration divided into 6 semesters. IGNOU offers admission in various UG Programmes like BA (Bachelor of Arts), BBA (Bachelor of Business Administration), BCA (Bachelor of Computer Applications), B.Com (Bachelor of Commerce), B.SC (Bachelor of Science), etc. It offers UG courses with specializations. IGNOU admission January session 2026 will start soon for the PG courses. Postgraduate Programmes are of 2 years, consisting of 4 semesters. Some popular PG Programmes are MA in Political Science, M.Com (Master of Commerce), M.Sc in Mathematics, Zoology, and MCA (Master of Computer Applications), etc with different specialisations. Eligibility Criteria For IGNOU Admission January Session 2026-27

Every University has some eligibility criteria that needs to be fulfilled at the time of admission, IGNOU has also set some eligibility criteria which differs and depends on the selected programme level.

For Undergraduate and Diploma Programmes: Students need to be 10th and 12th passout with minimum 50% marks or aggregate. Marksheet should be from a certified educational board.
For Postgraduate Programmes: Students must hold a bachelor’s degree with 50% minimum secured marks in the last qualifying exam. Degree should be from a recognized university.
Other Criteria: For admission in some programmes, work experience certificate or entrance exam is required.
